Hike #17: Rognes, Canal

This is a lovely walk starting from the canal above St-Estève then heading towards Rognes along a quiet road and through wooded areas. We then climb to the crest of the hills where we will walk along open paths with beautiful views over the valley below and further afield towards the Luberon and Ste Victoire. After lunch we redescend towards Le Puy ste Reparade and rejoin the canal back to the carpark.

 

Nous vous proposons une belle promenade depuis le canal EDF, au-dessus de Saint-Estève-Janson dans la direction de Rognes le long d’une petite route tranquille et à travers des zones boisées.

Nous grimperons ensuite jusqu’à la crête des collines où nous marcherons sur des sentiers avec de belles vues dégagées sur la vallée en contrebas et plus loin sur le Luberon et le massif de la Ste Victoire.

Après le déjeuner, nous redescendrons sur le Puy-Ste-Réparade et nous rejoindrons le canal pour revenir au parking.

Directions: Drive along the D561 to the village of St-Estève-Janson. Go up through the village on the D66 and park in the large open area next to the canal just before the bridge over the canal.
