Hike #15: Bories, Abbaye de Senanque, Gorges

Une magnifique randonnée qui part de Gordes, un des plus beaux villages de France.

Tout le long du chemin, nous verrons de belles constructions en pierres et des bories.

Vous aurez l’honneur et le privilège de fouler le sol de l’abbaye de Senanque, mais pour visiter l’interieur et prier il vous faudra revenir un autre jour!

C’est une longue randonnée assez facile à part un passage difficile dans les gorges.

Bonnes chaussures indispensables.

 

A magnificent hike, not to be missed. It will start from Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

During the hike we will see many “bories” as well as typical stone houses and walls.

You will have the honour and privilege of passing through the ground of the “abbaye de Senanque”. To go inside and pray, you will have to come back another day!

It’s a long and easy hike apart from a difficult passage through the gorge.

Good shoes are recommended.

Directions: From Aix-en-Provence It is about a 60 min drive from Aix.

Exit 25 for Cavaillon

Go through Cavaillon and follow the signs for Gordes (D2), then “centre de Gordes”.

Once in Gordes we’ll meet behind the “château” (there are several car parks in the village).
