Summary of the decisions taken at the meeting of the

« International Hiking Group of Provence”

 

 

 

       Where present today, October 07, 2003: 25 members of the association

 

 

 

 

1. Bank account.

The remainder in our bank account, from last year season, is 74,46 Euros.

 

2. Fees

It was agreed that from now only members of the association could join the hikes, i.e. those who paid the association fees (15 euros per person).  Occasional visitors (2 to 3 times a year) will still be able to join without having to pay the fees. 

 

3. Insurance.

We have chosen a private insurance scheme costing 5 euros per person instead of the 15 euros we paid last year.

 

4. Christmas hike.

The proposed Christmas hike is on the 16th December and will be the last hike for the year. We are still looking for a restaurant. If you have any brilliant idea, please, let us know!  The price per person is unknown however I will ensure this is kept to a minimum and will confirm as soon as possible.

 

5. Checking hikes.

Volunteers run the group but every member should feel involved and willing to participate in any way in order to contribute to the success of the activity. So feel free to check on new hikes and propose them to the group. This requires to team up with someone else, as you should never attempt to check a hike alone. I’ve got plenty of description of new hikes at your disposition.

Today some of you committed to check and lead a hike and committed to a date, thanks to them.

I will send you, soon, a precise list of the hikes with the names of the volunteers.

 

6. The timetable for the rest of the year 2003.

The last hike before the school holidays is 21st October

First hike after school holidays 4th November and then 18th November, as The 11th November is “un jour férié” public holiday.
