Hike #20: Gorges du Verdon Leaders: Avi, Tehila Date: March 31, 2026 |

Our next hike takes us along the old Provence canal which offers an extraordinary view of the magnificent lower Verdon gorges. We will walk along a wooden paved road, cross a forest path and climb up to the chapel overlooking the gorges, where we will have our picnic.
Notre prochaine randonnée nous emmène le long du vieux canal de Provence qui offre une vue extraordinaire sur les magnifiques basses gorges du Verdon. Nous marcherons le long d'une route goudronnée en bois, traverserons un chemin forestier et monterons jusqu'à la chapelle surplombant les gorges, où nous ferons notre pique-nique.

Directions. Directions (please allow 1 hour and 15 minutes for the drive). From Aix take the A51 to Sisteron/Gap. Exit at junction 17 – St Paul les Durances/Cadarache. At roundabout turn left D952 Continue on D952 to Vinon sur Verdon Continue on D554 towards Quinson At Quinson take D13 and pass through the village. Park at the side of the road just after restaurant Chez Kinou and just before bridge. There are not that many spots there so please try to carpool.
