Hike #18: Vallon de Vallauris Leaders: Sharon, Isabelle Date: March 17, 2026 |

A pleasant hike starting from the Centre Hospitalier Roquefraiche. (So if you have lung problems, don't hesitate to book your room!!!) 😊
The walk takes us up the gentle climb in the Vallon de Vallauris, giving us lovely views of the quiet and less well- known area of the Luberon. The easy gradual descent is through the Combe de Recaute.

La promenade nous emmène dans la douce montée du Vallon de Vallauris, nous offrant de belles vues sur la région calme et moins connue du Luberon. La descente facile et progressive se fait par la Combe de Recaute.

Meeting point: Directly at the start of the hike at 10.00 am (3666 Rte de Roquefraiche)
Directions: Drive towards Lauris then take the D61 passing Domaine de Fontenille. Continue up the winding Route de Roquefraiche and go through the entrance to the hospital marked by two stone pillars and a sign ‘CHI Roquefraiche – Soins de suite pneumologiques’. Continue winding up this road for about 1 km to the sanatorium. Go past the first small car park on the left and follow sign to the large visitor car park a few metres further on the right.
