Hike #19: Notre Dame du Château, Cabane du Garde

Agréable balade dans les Alpilles au départ de Saint-Étienne-du-Grès, faisant découvrir la Cabane du Garde et la Chapelle de Notre-Dame du Château. En chemin du traverserons des forêts agréables.

 

Enjoyable walk in the Alpilles, leaving from Saint-Étienne-du-Grès. We will walk through pleasant forests and along the way will discover the guard’s hut and the the Chapel of Our Lady of the Castle.

 

Lunch:       Bring a picnic lunch

Meeting point: Directly at the start of the hike at 10:15 am.

Directions:

From Aix take the A8 and A7 motorways. Take exit 25 in the direction of St Remy de Provence. Follow the D99 towards St Remy de Provence and St- Étienne-du-Grès.

Turn left onto D32A marked ‘centre ville’ and then right onto Av. de la République where you will see a large parking area.

Please allow at least 1 hour 20 mins for the drive!
