Hike #13: Old Glacière, ravin des Infernets

A Pretty hike starting at a large old ‘glacière. We then steadily climb through the woods and then along the edge of the Ravin des Infernets where we will visit a large cave – ‘Grotte des Morts’ and then the Ravin de la Coutronne where will enjoy impressive views of the wild countryside.

After lunch, we will descend into the ravine and riverbed of La Coutronne before returning to the river Vède.

NB: Rocky paths so walking poles and good hiking boots advised.

NB: Very short vertiginous passage (less than 5m)

 

Une belle randonnée qui commence à la Glacière des Encanaux. Nous monterons ensuite progressivement à travers les bois et le long du Ravin des Infernets, où nous visiterons une grande grotte, la Grotte des Morts, puis le Ravin de la Coutronne, où nous profiterons de belles vues dans des lieux assez sauvage.

Après le déjeuner, nous descendrons dans le ravin et le lit de la Coutronne avant de revenir vers la Vède.

NB : chemins rocailleux, bâtons de marche et bonnes chaussures de randonnée recommandés.

NB : notons la présence d’un très court passage vertigineux (moins de 5 m).

Directions: Drive through Auriol then take the |Route de la Ste Baume - D45A. Drive for about 3km till you come to a small turning on the left called Sentier des Encanaux. Take this turning and the parking is a few metres on the left.
