Hike #31: Bastide de Venelles

Dear Fellow Hikers

 

Let's celebrate the end of our hiking season together before the summer vacation !

We invite you to join us for a dinner and  dance evening

                       on SATURDAY JUNE 11 from 7:00 pm 

                       at the restaurant "La Bastide de Venelles”.

We will enjoy an aperitif outside, by the pool, with a magnificent view of the Sainte Victoire. Then our meal will be served in a private room, and we will finish the evening by dancing!

This evening is reserved for members of the "International Hiking Group of Provence" association (those of this year or previous years) and their spouse and their family!

 

The cost of the meal is 50€ per person, including aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, wine and coffee. The 50€ is payable ONLY IN CASH to our "tax-man" Jean-Pierre (rallier.jean-pierre@neuf.fr). The Association will provide the DJ who will play your favourite dancing songs!

 

If you wish to join this end of year celebration, please send an email to Florence Chaurand (fchaurand@hotmail.fr) as soon as possible with your menu choices:

-Starter: 1 - Tomato savarin in basil jelly, purple gazpacho, cherry tomatoes, fresh goat cheese with savoury, parmesan tuile.
              2 - Thick carpaccio of semi-cooked red tuna, marinated with lime and yuzu pearl, crunchy vegetables with anchovy
              3 - Declination of coloured courgettes and aubergines "grilled confit" with herbs, pequillos, cebettes and picholine olives

-Main Dish: 1 - Fillet of Sea Bass roasted with thyme, pan-fried mini courgettes with pine nuts, olives and marjoram, tomato and herb vinaigrette
              2 - Pan-fried sea bream on a thin onion and condiment pie, crushed potato with flat parsley, reduced bouillabaisse juice
              3 - Chicken supreme stuffed with mushroom duxelles, fricassee of pommes grenaille, grilled mini courgettes and mizuna

-Dessert:  1 - On a hazelnut shortbread, vanilla beaten brousse, raspberries and raspberry sorbet

              2 - Lemon Tiramisu, limoncello cookie, lemon thyme sorbet

              3 - Royal chocolate: praline crisp, chocolate mousse and hazelnut praline cream

For anyone with special dietary needs (vegetarians...), please inform us as soon as possible.

Our DJ will be Benjamin, the son of Sophie and Paul Reilly, and he would like each participant to indicate a piece of music they would like to hear that evening. Please indicate this along with your menu.

Directions: Coming from Aix/Marseille on A51: exit N°13 Venelles. At the stop sign, turn right. La Bastide is 200 meters away, on your left.
