Hike #04: Plateau des Mayorques

Ce circuit combine une curiosité naturelle avec des paysages typiquement provençaux.  Les gorges sont uniques dans la région. Sur le plateau des Mayorques découvrirons  de beaux champs où les amandiers sont nombreux.

Randonnée facile sauf certains passages dans les gorges. Possibilité d’avoir les pieds trempés, prévoyez des chaussures et des chaussettes de rechange.

Une fois de plus c’est une randonnée à ne pas manquer!

 

This walk is a combination of a natural curiosity the “Gorges de Régalon” with typical Provencal sceneries. On the top of the gorges “le plateau des Mayorques” we will see fields with almond trees.

It’s an easy walk, except for a few tricky passages on the gorges. It is highly likely that your feet will get wet. Remember to bring a spare pair of shoes and socks.

Again, this is a hike that you can’t miss!

 

Lunch:      Bring a picnic lunch.

Dogs:        Not advised. In the gorges they might be in difficulty.

Meeting point: Directly at the start of the hike at 10:00 am.

 

Points GPS: 43°45’36.08”N – 5°09’26.28”E

 

Directions: From Aix-en-Provence take the direction of Saint-Cannat then Lambesc and Port-Royal by the N7. Keep going on the N7 and turn right direction Mérindol. Go over a bridge crossing “la Durance”.

At the roundabout turn left direction Cheval Blanc or Cavaillon.

Turn right at the panel “Les Gorges du Régalon”. Go straight on, you will find a large car park on the right side of the road.
